G'morning lovely people! I'm super excited to show off this incredible Kansas wedding today. Many people frequently ask if I travel for weddings and the answer is YES! At least, I do as many destination weddings as humanly possible. There's lots more travel days involved with destination weddings, but if I can do it, you bet your sweet buns I'm going to do it!
I can't even begin to tell you how absolutely breathtaking this drive to Kansas was. This was an October wedding and I'm sure you can only imagine how incredible it was driving through the Colorado mountain towns of Glenwood Springs, Vail and Breckenridge areas during autumn. It was INCREDIBLE. Please, for the love, someone hire me to go shoot your autumn wedding in one of those mountain towns!! Anyhow back to my story. It's quite the interesting drive going from mountains and fall colors to flat everything, greenery and cornfields as far as the eye can see!
These two were married in the Basilica of St. Fidelis, also named the "Cathedral of the Plains". It was such an amazing experience to photograph a wedding in this beautiful cathedral! After the ceremony, we headed off and explored some areas around the town of Hays, then we headed to their reception at Rose Garden Banquet Hall. I cannot say enough good things about these two and their sweet families. I'm always so grateful to be a part of my couples' weddings, but it's even just a little extra special when I get to travel to a new place and explore and photograph a totally new and different setting.
Ok let's get to some photos because I could ramble on and on about these two!
